The Sindh Commission on the Status of Women (SCSW) convened a two-day consultative meeting in Karachi, chaired by Adv. Rubina Aman Brohi, Chairperson of SCSW, with the participation of Ms. Rabeea Hadi, Director General of the Child Protection Institute.

The consultations examined emerging forms of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), including honor-based violence and Technology-Facilitated GBV (TFGBV), highlighting the urgent need for stronger digital safeguards, legislation, and enforcement mechanisms.

The second day focused on Early Child Marriage and child protection, with discussions on online grooming, trafficking risks, unregistered childcare institutions, documentation gaps, and organized begging networks.
